Description
The author, Linda Rose Sutton, a native Mississippian, reflected on her rich life experiences and Christian heritage to pen the collection of inspirational short stories, Reflections, Recollections, Revelations. She delightfully recounts many lessons learned through her adventures and experiences that attest to the power of God’s written, spoken and living Word. Her writing evokes a sense of awe and wonder that speaks to the heart and takes one on their personal journey of self-reflection.
Her study abroad and travels stirred a deeper appreciation for the beauty of God’s creation that’s realized in the creative and artsy nature of her being. She elected earliest retirement eligibility from state service to pursue her business ventures that today include LaDecareaux (interior designs), Our Gift Collection (hand crafted and specialty gifts), and Wedding & All-Occasion Florals.
While multi-talented and gifted, Rose recognizes the responsibility and accountability to service. To this end, her passion and love for God and mankind is exemplified in service to God through her local Jackson Revival Center Church, her family and community. She currently serves as Assistant Director of the JRC theatre Ministry of Recollection and Member of the Altar Team Prayer Ministry. She has also had her time of mentoring youth working with the GCC’s (a group of young girls) spending summer weekends teaching cooking and sewing skills and techniques while interjecting Christian principles.
Praise and Worshipper, Dancer, Singer, Musician, Intercessor, Playwright, Poet, Author all capture her expression of service, but simply put, she states, “It’s all about the Love of God—Loving Him and allowing Him to love through me.”
